The Pre-Owned Certification For BMW

March 27th, 2009

Did you know that many vehicle manufacturers now offer consumers the opportunity to purchase used vehicles with pre-owned certification that not only tells consumers that the vehicle has been professionally checked but also allows the auto maker the opportunity to offer them an extended warranty?  BMW is one of these car manufacturers that offer this service, and by certifying pre-owned vehicles they can give the consumers additional benefits from their program.
In order to be eligible for the pre-owned certification program for the BMW, you must have a late model BMW that has been in service for at least six month or has more than 6,000 miles but fewer than 60,000 on the odometer.  If you meet BMW’s eligibility guidelines and get their certified pre-owned warranty coverage, you will have coverage for 6 years or 100,000 miles on your used BMW vehicle.
BMWs, while being Japanese made cars, are expensive to maintain.  If you are eligible for the pre-owned certification warranty it is a good idea to get it.  It will help you keep your used BMW maintained if anything happens to it or it needs any major repair work done to it.  It also assures you that the vehicle you have is in good shape and is a good investment of your money.

Using A DIY Auction To Buy Your Japanese Vehicle

March 22nd, 2009

You do not have to go through an exporter to purchase your used Japanese vehicle.  As a matter of fact, you can use a Do-It-Yourself online car auction to make that purchase.  You may not know anything about importing a car from Japan home, but there are plenty of websites that can help you work through it.  The biggest issue about doing it yourself is that nine times out of ten you have to arrange your own freight which an importer can do for you for a fee while still saving you some money.
To use a DIY auction to purchase your Japanese vehicle you have to do a little homework first and try out a few auction sites to see the one that finds or has the car you are looking for.  Once you find that site, join it and keep an active eye on the listings that appear.  When you discover the right car for you, place a bid on the Japanese vehicle of your choice.  In its own way, using a DIY auction site to purchase your car is no harder than using eBay.  And if you use the services of an importer to arrange your shipping, you will soon be the proud owner of a Japanese vehicle that fits your needs and style.

Trying To Find A Used Titan For Sale?

March 22nd, 2009

Up until 2004, Nissan had never made a full sized pickup truck for the North American market until they introduced the Titan.  The truck was designed and built on the Nissan F-Alpha platform, which is also found in the Nissan Armada and Infiniti QX56 SUVs.  Currently it is manufactured at the Nissan plant in Canton, Mississippi, United States.  The truck was not built to compete with the vehicles produced by Ford, Chevrolet, and Dodge, but has been considered an alternative to these costly vehicles with 25% of sales of the Nissan Titan occurring in the south central parts of the United States.
The Titan was well received, but there are rumors circulating that Nissan may discontinue the roomy and well appointed truck after the release of the 2010 model because of the decline in sales the company has experienced.  If you are trying to find a used Titan for sale you should have good luck in your endeavors.  Many people have traded in their Titans for a more fuel efficient vehicle and there are plenty of car dealers that have used Titans for sale for a good price.  Additionally, you may be able to find a Titan used car for sale with lower mileage than some comparable trucks, due to the fact that production started in 2004.

Locating A Used Celica For Sale

March 15th, 2009

The Toyota Celica was manufactured by the Japanese car company for 35 years, and still today it is one of the most well loved cars the company has ever made.  It went through seven generations of changes and it was, at the time, the closest thing to a sports car Toyota produced with the exception of the shorter lived Paseo.  With its four cylinder engine the Celica was a very economical car to drive, and the change from rear wheel to front wheel drive in 1986 saw the sales of the Celica sky rocket.  It was one of the few cars ever made by Toyota that also offered a four wheel drive version, which was referred to as an “All-trac” edition.
When Toyota discontinued the Celica in 2005, many people were disappointed.  The car design was the basis for the Toyota Supra, but still to this day people are going back to the Celica model.  If you are looking for a used Celica for sale, check with your local used car lots or Toyota dealership.  Toyotas are such popular makes of vehicle that many people will trade in older cars for newer ones, sometimes for the same model if they can.  If you still cannot find a used CELICA for sale, consider contacting an export company that can locate one overseas and bring it to you for the fraction of the cost of a new car.

Mazda Bongo Van

March 8th, 2009

The Mazda Bongo Van has been in production by Mazda of Japan since 1966.  In 1978 the company began to export this vehicle to the United States as the Mazda E-Series and as the Ford Econovan, and the Bongo was the van that eventually replaced the Nissan Vanette in the production and exporting industry.

When the Bongo was introduced to the world in 1966 it included a 782cc water cooled four stroke engine and rear wheel drive.  It came in two versions, and the Bongo remained exactly the same over the first ten years of production.  They were able to carry one ton of weight thanks to the full chassis and low gearing.  These original Bongos, dated between 1968 and 1978, are very hard to find today thanks to poor maintenance and rust issues.

The second generation of the MAZDA BONGO VAN was released in 1978 and it was a mid-engine rear wheel drive version that Ford sold as the Ford Econovan.  It was reengineered in 1983 to include new engines and a second version, the Bongo Brawny, was introduced with a longer wheelbase.  The Mazda Bongo Van went through numerous other changes, with the final version being released in 1999 when it was taken over by Mitsubishi motors. The name changed to the Mazda Access in certain markets.

BMW

March 5th, 2009

BMW or Bavarian Motor Works is a German based company that is well known for its automobiles, luxury cars, and SUVs.  The company started out as an aircraft manufacturer in the 1910s and if you look at the logo closely youユll notice that it looks like propeller blades against a blue sky.  The Dixi was the first car BMW manufactured and it rolled off the line in 1928.  Prior to World War II the Type 328 Roadster was the most well known car the company made, and it was well known on motorsport circuits between 1936 and 1940.

The 501 was introduced in the 1950s and the 502 followed it with the first light alloy V8 engine, setting BMW as one of the worldユs innovators of new vehicle technology.  By the 1970s BMW was a force to be reckoned with in Europe and they established a base of operations in the United States.  Known still today as Bimmers, BMW cars are some of the most technologically advanced vehicles on the market.

The company has expanded to include the Mini and Rolls-Royce into their product line and they offer consumers wagons, sedans, coupes, sports cars, roadster, and SUVs.  They also continue to produce motorcycles, something the company has been doing since the 1920s.

Participating In A Used Car Sale

March 5th, 2009

When you decide to get involved in a used car sale, you need to be prepared to buy a vehicle that may not be perfect.  Some things are simply cosmetic and are minor issues that can be easily taken care of.  Other things are mechanical that can make or break a used car sale.  It’s best to be prepared that the car you have fallen in love with on that used car sale lot may not be the bargain it seems.  Not everyone can be as lucky as Shia Lebeouf’s character in the Transformer’s movie and drive away with an old used car and have it turn into the latest model.

Participating in a used car sale should be done with caution and common sense.  If the exterior of the car is in good shape and all of the mechanical workings of the car  engine, motor, brakes, etc. seem to be in good shape with no evidence of a problem, then the small burn hole on the driver’s seat should not be something that keeps you from completing the used car sale.  Interior cosmetic damage such as this can easily be repaired or hid from view by using decorative seat covers.

Ensuring that the car is reliable and drivable is the best way to conduct a used car sale.  And if the car is not, then it’s time to move on to another lot no matter how much you love the car.
